located in the Bellevue community of Nashville, Tennessee. We live here, work here and play

Attorneys Sue Hamilton, Thomas "Tee" Gorham and Jad A. Duncan bring a variety of practices and a wealth of experience in many different settings. Whether it is a small claim in General Sessions Court, a contested divorce matter, a complex federal court case or general counsel on business matters, Hamilton, Gorham and Duncan possess the expertise to obtain clients favorable results. Sue Hamilton

Sue Hamilton is a managing partner of the law firm of Hamilton, Gorham and Duncan, PLLC. Prior to forming this firm Hamilton owned Hamilton, Mediation and Law Offices which she founded in 1994. With a background in psychology she successfully mediated legal disputes. She traveled the state designing and conducting school in-service trainings for Tennessee teachers, counselors, principals and superintendants along with Peer Mediator Certification Programs for students K through 12. Hamilton is recognized for her innovation in designing conflict resolution programs within the schools and the workplace. Hamilton is a certifiedmediator, a Federal Mediator and a Rule 31 Listed (General Civil and Family) Mediator and Trainer. She has presented for the Tennessee Bar Association, William J Harrison Legal Education Foundation, Peaceable Schools, the Annual Governor’s Conference and Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution

Thomas "Tee" Gorham

Tee Gorham is a native Nashvillian. He graduated from Ensworth Grade School and then Father Ryan High School where he was a proud member of the Irish Wrestling Team. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree with High Honors at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and his law degree from Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at Memphis State University. 

 

Tee has been practicing law for 22 years in the Nashville area and generally focuses his practice on personal injury, family law and criminal law, although he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in virtually every kind of civil case including landlord-tenant, contract disputes, orders of protection and patients on the mental health docket. He is extremely diversified in his knowledge and understanding the law. 
 

(ADR) Workshops. Hamilton attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she earned her B.A. with honors. She received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1993 from the Nashville School of Law. She has appeared on Talk of the Town, The Morning Show, Legal Eagles and other television shows.

 

Hamilton’s areas of practice include; Litigation, Criminal Defense, Contracts, Family Law, Business Law, as well as Probate and Estate Matters. Hamilton is admitted to the United States District Court of Middle Tennessee, the Tennessee Supreme Court, United State Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a member of Lawyer Association for Women, Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (TACDL), Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Hamilton is also a certified fitness and wellness coach. Currently, Ms. Hamilton has incorporated the legal and wellness professions in her law practice by providing collaborative options for individuals, families and businesses in

dispute.

Tee has always been well-known and commended on his "user-friendly" personality. He is respectful to both the attorneys that he deals with and the clients that he represents. His service-minded approach to his private law practice is one of his greatest assets. Tee is a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the St. Henry Men's club which raises money for various charities in the community. He has also been a volunteer wrestling coach/helper for the Nashville Catholic Wrestling which teaches the little guys the value of wrestling. He and his wife have also been involved with the Regional Intervention Program which provides early behavioral intervention for at-risk children particularly with ADHD, and he volunteers for Room In The Inn. Tee also enjoys fishing as much as possible in his spare time.

 

Tee resides with his wife, Dawn Martin Gorham and six children in the West Nashville/ Bellevue area. They have three boys and three girls. Dawn is a former singer/songwriter and is currently employed as a deputy clerk in the General Sessions Civil Division of Davidson County.

Jad Duncan

Jad A. Duncan, Esq.

Jad A. Duncan , a Nashville and Bellevue native, attended the University of Tennessee (B.S., 1999) and then attended law school at Nashville School of Law (J.D., 2005).  After passing the Tennessee Bar Exam, he began his law practice in 2005, partnered with his late father, attorney Jimmy A. Duncan.

Mr. Duncan’s primary focus is Estate Planning, Probate Representation and Small Business matters. He has compiled experience in the following areas: Representation of estates and litigation associated with estates, conservatorship establishment included complicated litigation involving conservatorships, will and trust drafting, complex estate planning, power of attorney and other legal document drafting, contract drafting / review / litigation, entertainment industry representation and artist representation, general civil litigation, small business representation, collection and eviction matters, real estate litigation, Federal multi district litigation and countless other legal issues.

Mr. Duncan has been very active in community leadership having served for several years as the President of the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce, as the Parent Advisory Committee Chairperson to Metro Nashville Public Schools for the Bellevue and West Nashville area, and as a former member of the Nashville Metro CATV Special Committee appointed by former Mayor Karl Dean.  Currently, Mr. Duncan serves on the Nashville Metro Sports Authority appointed by Mayor David Briley and was recently honored to be chosen to serve as a hearing panel member for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility which adjudicates ethical violations brought against attorneys across the state. Mr. Duncan was also honored as one of the Nashville Scene's "Top 3 Attorneys in Nashville" in their reader's poll in 2010.  Mr. Duncan lives in his home community of Bellevue, has two sons and coaches youth soccer.
